Marist Family Collective

The Marist Family Collective and Parent Forums have replaced the traditional P & F Structure. This change was made in consultation with Catholic School Parents Queensland because of the reduced number of parents attending meetings and the move away from the traditional fundraising model.

Marist Family Collective

The Marist Family Collective are advisors, as opposed to a formal executive, who will advise and meet to discuss the expenditure of funds and upcoming forums. This group operates under a charter instead of a constitution, but the charter maintains certain key items which need to be included such as linking to objectives and funds, as well as the Parent Code of Conduct.

Parent Forums

Parent Forums are a way for us to engage with parents and carers. Forums may involve an update from the Principal, a guest speaker, a tour of the school or a targeted discussion. Upcoming forums are communicated via the College Newsletter, Marist College App and Facebook page.

In 2023, we offered the following Parent Forums/Parent Information Sessions.

• Madonna King, Author and Journalist
